GENERAL FUNCTION

The Indirect Procurement Manager is responsible for working with Business Unit Owners throughout the Company to facilitate, develop and manage the RFP process for indirect spend on products and services. This responsibility involves gaining and applying knowledge of the products and services purchased by other areas of the Company and bringing the best value in product selection, quality, service and pricing. This position will also be responsible for reporting and tracking savings and presentations to management on a periodic basis. In addition, the position will be responsible for implementing an indirect spend purchase order process throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Develop annual strategy to identify spend reduction opportunities across the organization.
  • Facilitate the RFP process with other areas of the company and provide them with guidance, defined processes, developed purchasing strategies, project updates and reporting.
  • Implement an indirect spend purchase order process.
  • Design and align procurement processes and policies with business requirements.
  • Responsible for minimizing cost and maximizing value in the procurement process by applying best / leading practices across sourcing, new / nontraditional supplier development, negotiations, bench mark modeling, and other process improvements. 
  • Meet with vendors to review proposals and negotiate pricing, vendor terms, conversion allowances, growth programs, warranties, parts pricing and service agreements to bring best value.
  • Track and report on savings, make recommendations, award business, draft and issue agreements, implement new programs and resolve vendor disputes.
  • Responsible for the creation of templates for Supplier Management process (scorecards, questionnaires, supplier meetings, annual performance reviews, etc.)
  • Evaluate vendor performance and develop improvement programs.
  • Performs duties consistent with the company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.
  • Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Bachlor's degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Adminstration and previous Procurement Management experience
  • 5 -7 years experience in procurement in multi-business environment
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Power Point, Access, SharePoint
  • Team Facilitation
  • Analyzing Data & Trends

  • Planning & Execution of the RFP process
  • Ability to influence with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Position requires individual who can work effectively with all levels ofmanagement, business unit personnel, and with approved vendors

WORKING CONDITIONS

 Normal office environment.  Some travel required.
