Overview

GENERAL FUNCTION

The Graphic Designer is responsible for managing and delivering against the creative design needs for the brand.  This position will lead the strategic conceptualization, creative development and delivery of innovative/break-through digital and non-digital solutions for all projects within an assigned brand.   The Graphic Designer is also responsible for ensuring that all deliverables appropriately align with the strategic brand vision & direction as set by the brand leadership.

Responsibilities

PRIMARY DUTIES

  1. Responsible for the development of images and concepts for a variety of creative projects.
  2. Responsible for the design, layout, and formatting of materials in accordance with the instructions from the marketing team.
  3. Reviews and studies photographs and illustrations to plan the presentation of material, product or service to Brand Team.
  4. Determines size and arrangement of illustrative materials and copy. Selects style and size and arranges layout based on available space, knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts.
  5. Creates and prepares final layouts for print and/or production.
  6. Directs the activities of Stylists, Photographers, and Illustrators as they may relate to the execution of projects.
  7. Attends all relevant brand meetings and is an integrated member of the marketing team.
  8. Partners with the brand and e-commerce eeam to create & deliver innovative digital creative content for owned e-commerce site, retail partner e-commerce sites, digital advertising, and social media.
  9. Builds relationships with cross-functional teams; strengthens organizational knowledge of digital marketing.

  11. Performing other duties as required/assigned by manager.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic design or related field, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of advertising agency or design studio experience
  • 5+ years experience in digital marketing or a related field.
  • Proven ability to research and translate design trends into graphic concepts that communicate clearly to the customer
  • In depth understanding of printing production.
  • Experienced in photo direction.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop and InDesign.
  • Proficient in Powerpoint and Keynote.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and self-directing skills.
