Lead teams of Product Line Management, Design and Development to build and drive and achieve sales/gross margins through building product lines, identifying opportunities and capitalizing on the line architecture and product creation function for the category’s trending businesses in footwear and align with apparel team to create a seamless head to toe brand story. Sets strategic direction for all product categories and set the short term and long term strategic product goals that align with the brand strategy. This individual will work with design to deliver innovative, trend right and commercial product for our target consumers and place the brand among industry leaders with respect to styling and detailing. Will collaborate with Marketing to oversee market research and analysis of product categories and will be responsible for assortment planning. This individual is responsible for leading our international growth as well as domestic, and work with our wholesale partners, specialty retail and .com to ensure consistent look and feel of brand at all consumer touch points.




  • Lead development of strategy for brand line architecture across categories, leading the Product Line Managers in the following:
  1. Identify white space growth opportunities and develop and execute business plans to attack these opportunities globally in collaboration with the other categories, marketing, product design and sales.

  2. Evolves the line architecture to match business growth goals and objectives, including development of multi-season product flow strategy

  3. Align Business Plan and category direction in collaboration seamlessly to the Brand, aligning with Marketing, Product and Sales

  4. Manage product franchises in the category

  5. Fully understand the competitive landscape and assure that the Wolverine strategy and direction leads the industry.

  6. Develop and own SKU efficiency globally in the category while meeting global growth goals

  7. Develops and maintains an understanding of the global market needs.

  8. Maintains pricing and margin model.

  9. Follows the product through the development timeline to assure it is on track to achieve targets and goals for each brief.

  10. Seamlessly integrate all product categories as well as Custom to assure harmony of the product lines.2Direct overall brief production for each season leading the Product team in this process for their categories

  1. Create briefs which direct the product creation process and drive development of market leading products that enable the brand to grow to meet business goals by organizing, focusing, and evolving the product line to current and future consumer, trend, revenue, and margin targets

  2. Ensure brief accuracy and deliver designs that meet the desired product outcome.

  • Drive high level strategic identification, analysis, and application of market data relating to competitors, consumers, etc. and lead the Product team in breaking this down for each category.
  • Develop high level plan / strategy for the creation and execution of influential and educational communication of seasonal product line
  • Responsible for the outward communications to ensure each season’s Product Line is clearly understood in terms of target and specific reasons why each product hits that target.
  • Lead, coach and develop team to work and grow team to meet the function expertise
  • Performs duties consistent with the company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.
  • Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.



  • A bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent business experience in sales, product management, marketing, or relevant field.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Product Creation or relevant field.
  • Fundamental understanding of the relationship between product, sales, marketing and the account base and how they drive P&L success.
  • Previous roles with big wins in creating consumer and/or retailer product programs in terms of sell in, sell through, and brand development.
  • Previous successful large and small group communication experiences, and/or significant capability development experiences.
  • Advanced analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Powerful, cross-culturally effective communication skills. Ability to construct unit concept and communicate it to a large multi-cultural audience.
