GENERAL FUNCTION

Drives revenue growth and achieves profitability objectives within the commercial channel through sales and marketing strategy development and by directing the daily activities of the sales representatives with the assigned target accounts. 

Responsibilities

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Sets sales, product, and marketing strategies for long term business development of all customers within the geographic region of responsibility.
  • Develops seasonal financial performance plans and monitors progress against target revenue and profit goals at retail.
  • Directs, monitors, and assists the retailer and the sales representatives in achieving sales goals through detailed analysis of sales performance and product performance.
  • Plans and assists in setting account goals and quotas; monitors and reviews performance; gives guidance and assistance as needed.
  • Assists PD in developing new products to meet brand financial and inventory targets.
  • Assists Merchandising in inventory planning and control.
  • Assists Marketing in developing and executing plans to deliver the Bates brand message to both retailers and consumers.
  • Presents product and marketing plans to customers and prospective customers at trade shows and buyer group meetings.
  • Performing duties consistent with the Company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.
  • Performing other duties as required/assigned by manager.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ year’s sales management in the wholesale retail sectors of the footwear industry.
  • Excellent knowledge of retail math and weekly and seasonal product sales analytical skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to prepare executive level presentations
  • Ability to motivate and evaluate employee’s performance.
