Sets the seasonal creative and design direction for the brand territories, and leads the seasonal design process from ideation to launch, through effective management of the Trend, Design, Material and Color teams.

Primary Duties


  • Drives the creative brand strategy for the brand territories.
  • Work effectively and maintain strong relationships with territory and development teams to ensure product design packages are introduced on time to the market, that meet the requirements of the product briefs.
  • Ensures holistic balance of all territories per season by pushing the brand forward while maintaining product be commercial and meets retail price points.
  • Establishes and maintains creative culture of the brand globally.
  • Researches market and fashion trends in order to design new product.
  • Performs all specifications for design packages from beginning to end.
  • Manages seasonal material/color pallets utilized by the designers.
  • Designs and develops market appropriate footwear within product briefs issued by the territory teams.
  • Coordinates with development team to ensure that patterns, construction and outsole blueprints are in line with design vision while also commercially acceptable for production.
  • Interacts with component suppliers to specify new or existing materials to meet seasonal development needs that keep the brand fresh and new in the market.
  • Performs duties consistent with the company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.
  • Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required


  • Bachelor’s degree in design or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years footwear design experience
  • 2+ years of management experience
  • Ability to effectively communicate visually through sketches and illustrations.
  • Proficient with personal computers.
  • Good organization skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
