GENERAL FUNCTION

Gathers, monitors, analyzes and reports financial and brand related data to divisional and corporate management teams.

Responsibilities

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Communicate with business partners for general accounting matters.
  • Assists the team with periodic reconciliations and reports for the brands within the company including: rebates, royalties, account payable, prepaid assets, accrued miscellaneous, travel, and other ad hoc items.
  • Responsible for journal entries in support of the period close process.
  • Responsible for reconciling and balancing general ledger accounts.
  • Responsible for researching and correcting account discrepancies.
  • Prepares schedules and reports for auditors quarterly and at year-end.
  • Provides support on projects for management.
  • Assists with consolidation of period, quarter and year end results.
  • Performs duties consistent with the company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.
  • Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field. CPA or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • 3+ years accounting or finance experience.
  • Good communication (written/oral) and interpersonal skills to interact with all levels throughout the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word applications
  • CPA preferred
