GENERAL FUNCTION

Merrell is looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist to join the marketing team.  This individual will lead the brand’s social media efforts. Responsibilities include managing channel strategy, social reporting and analytics, management of the brand’s social agency partner. In addition, this role is responsible for defining and implementing a consistent brand voice around the world, managing all aspects of social posting and copywriting and creation of the seasonal social media toolkit. 

 

 

Responsibilities

PRIMARY DUTIES

  1. Plan and implement contests and programs to grow consumer base and further engage with consumers.
  2. Manage messaging and content, with assistance from leadership.
  3. Assist with digital brand advertising implementation by working with leadership to develop branded digital advertising each season, based on seasonal style statements.
  4. Work with marketing managers to ensure plans are integrated, meeting overall brand territory and commercial objectives.
  5. Assist in managing agency & vendor relationships by establishing objectives, assisting in developing statement of work, reviewing briefs, and holding cross-functional partners accountable for achieving agreed-upon deliverables.
  6. Deploy, manage and review social media marketing programs and technologies in conjunction with the marketing team and as part of the overall digital marketing mix to create innovative and creative campaigns in support of product, brand, and marketing initiatives.
  7. Manage and track all marketing efforts in the digital channel in order to maximize return on investment, ensuring established brand, sales, expense and profitability goals are reached.
  8. Manage added value program process and deadlines.
  9. Performing duties consistent with the Company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.
  10. Performing other duties as required/assigned by manager.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of brand management or footwear experience
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Strong project management, time management, and attention to detail while simultaneously managing multiple projects
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as be part of a team
  • Strong understanding of and ability to apply consumer insights data
