Supervisors are responsible for directing, supervising, and coordinating the activities of their direct reports. Supervisors lead an area/department comprised of individuals working to accomplish daily goals while at the same time meeting goals for cost, quality and delivery. Supervisors are required to lead by example, behave in a professional manner, and treat their employees with respect.  This position reports directly to a DC Manager.


  • Direct daily operations including workflow scheduling, monitoring of productivity and quality, process troubleshooting, and all other activities required to ensure on-time deliveries and exceptional customer service.
  • Develop and maintain a productive work team through professional development by effectively administering policies, practices, and labor contracts (if applicable).
  • May perform administrative duties associated with managing the DC, such as reporting and record keeping.
  • Provide feedback relative to performance, including day to day counseling of employees and coaching on the use of the established “best practices.”
  • Maintain a safe work environment; take action to correct unsafe conditions, recommend necessary changes or investigation and process safety reports following an incident; ensure proper use of personal protective equipment.
  • Make recommendations to leadership on programs or ideas to improve operations.
  • Utilize Warehouse Management System for receiving, storing, order processing and shipping.
  • Performs duties consistent with the Company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.
  • Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.


  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2+ years warehouse experience and/or training in manufacturing/warehouse supervision
  • Must be flexible; able to shift priorities easily in order to accommodate deadlines and business needs and requirements.
  • Experience in both union and non-union environments helpful.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels in and outside of the organization.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, employees, vendors and customers.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient with computers and MS Office; SAP experience and working knowledge of warehouse management systems required.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks, adjust to changing priorities and work within deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, train and develop employees for peak performance and career development.
  • Knowledge of safety best practices and OSHA, MSDS, FTZ, and CTPAT regulations.
