GENERAL FUNCTION

This position will work under direct supervision.  Perform maintenance and preventative maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain all equipment within the distribution center.
  • Operate equipment and tools safely and proficiently.
  • Troubleshoot problems with electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all DC equipment to include lubing and painting.
  • Aid in 5S; maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition while following prescribed safety regulations. 
  • Work consistently with the team to meet the goals of the organization.
  • Perform duties consistent with the Company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.
  • Perform other duties as required/assigned by Supervisor/Manager.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Minimum two years’ experience performing maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Must be flexible; able to shift priorities easily and work overtime in order to accommodate deadlines and business needs and requirements.
  • Detail oriented and able to work independently.
  • Able to effectively communicate information and respond to questions from various levels within the organization. 
  • Basic computer skills required and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications: excel and word.
