    As the Director, Corporate Strategy, you will lead an internal team focused on defining & implementing Wolverine Worldwide’s long term strategy at the Enterprise & Brand level and driving transformative growth initiatives. Key responsibilities include driving the annual Strategic Growth Plan process, leading key initiatives related to our global growth agenda, and participating in M&A initiatives. 

    Primary Duties

    • Drive the annual Strategic Growth Plan process through partnering with the Brands and Functional Areas to identify key strategic initiatives and to build compelling business cases
    • Identify, evaluate, and drive transformative growth initiatives at the portfolio, operating group, and brand level through partnership with business leaders 
    • Drive the adoption and optimization of the Brand Growth Model through partnership with the Brands
    • Collaborate on M&A initiatives including whitespace mapping, target identification, due diligence, integration efforts.
    • Develop & lead strategic recommendations through applying analytical frameworks, strategic business models & tools and quantitative data analysis
    • Create persuasive and effective deliverables, including presentations, reports, and other outputs to communicate findings and progress
    • Champion WWW’s One Great Way, through establishing best practices and sharing them throughout the organization.
    • Be an organization thought leader through keeping up to date on developments in industry, competitor developments, consumer trends, and general marketplace conditions
    • Coach and develop manager / analyst level team members
    • Perform duties consistent with the Company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.
    • Perform other duties as required/assigned by manager.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

    • At least 10 years of progressive professional experience.  Experience in business strategy development within a large organization or consultancy preferred
    • MBA and Bachelor's Degree required.
    • Experience in retail, footwear / apparel, or consumer products
    • Strategic and creative approach to problem solving 
    • Proven track record of executing initiatives and delivering measurable impact
    • Ability to influence, gain credibility, and partner across all levels of the organization
    • Management experience which includes building, leading, and coaching a team of direct reports
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    Normal office environment.  Some travel may be required.
