    Audits and pays carrier freight bills for small parcel, LTL, truckload, ocean and inter-modal shipments.

    Primary Duties

    • Audits and submits freight bills for payment via Ariba system.
    • Global responsibility for updating SCM system with ocean and inland freight charges for both warehouse and volume direct shipments prior to goods receipt.
    • Runs the VIPER payment system daily for FedEx, UPS and BirdDog invoices received via EDI.
    • Liaison with BirdDog on all small parcel/freight audit issues.
    • Liaison with freight carriers to resolve account discrepancies and assist with vendor account reconciliations
    • Identify and resolve routing/payment deficiencies.
    • Provides general support for GOG accounting as necessary.
    • Assist with IS/Accounting to continuously streamline/automate freight payment process.
    • Quarterly ocean carrier cut-off testing and revenue cut-off testing.
    • Performs duties consistent with the company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.
    • Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

    • 2+ years accounting experience or equivalent work experience.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to problem solve.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Ability to meet weekly invoice processing deadlines is critical.
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel spreadsheet applications
    • Strong 10 key proficiency.
