    As the product category leader for work, the Senior Product Line Manager reports directly to the Vice President of Product and is responsible for business planning, product strategy, line building and merchandising for North America, Latin America, and Asia Pacific regions. The position will be responsible for developing seasonal line plans based on consumer trends and market dynamics that meet margin requirements to drive global work strategy.

    Primary Duties

    • Line building, life cycle management, product architecture, shape of business.
    • Responsible for driving seasonal ideation.
    • Establish and maintain a thorough understanding of the business including historical volume, current plan, future plan, financial goals, recommend pricing, objectively analyse success, failures and opportunities. 
    • Responsible for ensuring that each season’s line has the right balance of new product stories and consistent revenue and margin drivers.
    • Research and create detailed / focused design briefs to clearly communicate market opportunities, product vision, priced to market needs and forecasting.
    • Feeds all market intelligence and regional feedback back to the whole product team.
    • Responsible for maintaining seasonal data in the PLM 2.0 system from design briefs through pattern level and coordinate with product teams on critical path needs.
    • Assess market competition and trends to gather qualitative and quantitative data to support business planning, product positioning and market direction.
    • Continually evaluate and understand consumer needs to drive product innovation.
    • Leading period analysis, including but not limited to style-level sell through to inform and influence current and future seasons.
    • Align with assigned global (3P) and owned sales and regional teams to ensure accurate pattern / sku forecasts are created and updating any changes in a timely manner.
    • Present business unit seasonal strategic and tactical elements to the brand sales teams.
    • Working with marketing team for developing plans that will maximize the brand in the marketplace through product merchandising and storytelling, retail marketing and sales generation.
    • Assist in developing product knowledge materials for sell-in process/ seasonal tradeshows and training programs for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Conducting regular meetings with key customers/ retail staff to ensure that we are delivering the appropriated line plan, product mix & pricing strategy and receiving regular product feedback.
    • Performing other duties as required/assigned by their manager.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent work experience.
    • Ability to influence colleagues at all levels and across different functions within the business; experience of working within a matrix structure would be ideal.
    • Proven and tested experience in product line management, assortment planning merchandising, integrated retail and/or product creation related role.
    • Experience in developing an understanding of customers, competitors and retail trends.
    • Strong business orientation, analytical aptitude & retail math.
    • Demonstrated expert understanding of the relationship between product, sales, marketing, finance/operations and international.
    • Proven ability to evaluate 2D artwork and prototype products and make necessary recommendations for improvement.
    • Strong work ethic with ability to work interactively with various disciplines.
    • Ultimate team player that is highly organized, versatile, flexible and enjoys working with regional team members.
    • Strong business acumen to quickly learn new business opportunities and understand how strategic plans can enable revenue and profit growth.
    • Brings energy, agility and quickness of thought and action to the line management process.
    • Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
    • Strong communication skills and ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.

     

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    Normal office environment.

    Some travel required.
