    The position will be responsible for the development, management, and execution of retail marketing plans for Merrell Specialty & Outlet, and Multi Brand Outlets. The retail marketing initiatives will be based on strategic brand and DTC objectives and sales goals. Retail marketing efforts include, but are not limited to, customized integrated marketing programs, advertising, visual merchandising guides, instore events, promo directives, and mall marketing for all retail concepts; develop and manage a process to provide materials, tools, and direction for implementation. Collaborate with Brand and eCommerce team to execute store messaging in support of a defined calendar, maintaining customers, driving traffic and meeting sales goals. Strategize to scale Brand messaging and merchandising appropriate to store type and capacity.

    Primary Duties

    • Manage the retail marketing plans and events for all retail concepts on overall brand direction and DTC business objectives.
    • Collaborate with the Director of Visual Merchandising and Retail Operations Manager to develop customized events for Specialty and Outlet retail concepts.
    • Timely execution of retail marketing programs, in-store events, promotions, and mall marketing.
    • Works closely with field leadership team to ensure that events and retail marketing efforts are executed in store.
    • Works directly with brand marketing department to extract brand imaging and DNA to create assets that support promotions, local activation, and in-store events.
    • Manage event and activation budget.
    • Develops working relationships and builds a network of professional contacts and resources to implement mall marketing opportunities. Leads production to ensure consistency in execution.
    • Work directly with creative team to design and plan marketing, signage, and event materials.
    • Works with merchants and planning and allocation to understand impact of retail marketing and events to drive traffic; track and report on results.
    • Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

    • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or equivalent work experience.
    • Visual, marketing and/or retail field experience. Field experience is a plus.
    • Project management with attention to detail, highly organized, imaginative with abilityto articulate concepts.
    • Energetic individual will need to keep up with fast-paced retail environment and must be physically capable of moving 50 lb. fixtures and climbing a ladder.
    • Experience in a matrixed organization or cross functional role
    • Travel required to local stores as well as U.S. market visits.
    • Previous experience in large, cross-functional organizations
    • General eComm, digital marketing and social media knowledge.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, problem-solving initiatives, decision- making, prioritization, and organization skills.
    • Computer skills with proficiency in MAC, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop products
    • Creative / Creative Visionary.
    • Proven track record in planning & managing execution of plans.

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    Office and retail store environment. Some travel required.
