    The PR/Energy Marketing Manager is responsible for overseeing the global Public Relations (PR) and energy marketing, translating global brand and product strategies into ideas and execution with support from our agency and activation partners. The goal of this role will be to create relevance, heat and demand within the industry and our consumers primarily via public relations and social media while ensuring integration with our holistic, omni-channel approach to marketing.

     

    To achieve these goals, this individual will coordinate and deliver the global PR and energy experience in partnership with the paid media, digital and social teams, category and wholesale marketing, brand and creative services, at times with third parties (including agency and media partners), and in a coordinated rollout effort with global partners, primarily in APAC, USA, and EMEA.

     

    The ideal candidate is highly creative, hyper connected, hyper organized, lives in a digital/social world with a passion for creating robust relationships between our brand, partners and consumers.

    Primary Duties

     

    Public Relations (70%)

    • Serve as the key liaison to create and execute annual PR plans; oversee seasonal agency briefing, provide key assets and templates to global partners, and manage PR agency.
    • Establish global PR strategy and operating plan to optimize global impact, including the development of seasonal global PR toolkits, communication cadence, and global reporting
    • Develop strong relationships on behalf of the brand with key partners (e.g. publications, influencers, celebrities, athletes, etc.) to ensure brand is always top of mind and able to capitalize on editorial opportunities
    • Create, manage and execute the seasonal PR campaigns and events activations (spring and fall) including PR and events strategy, PR releases, PR seeding kits, press events/consumer events and all PR materials related to our partnerships.
    • Oversee planning and execution of all related brand events.
    • Define and deliver on measurable KPIs with continuous feedback on performance and access to key data, tying upper funnel initiatives to business goals.
    • Manage the day-to-day PR and events budget, including monthly updates with brand marketing leadership, finance and marketing to identify run rate, issues and options.
    • Collaborate with our internal creative agency and social media team to ensure we are creating best-in-class PR and events assets within the context of an always-on strategy.
    • Build strong cross-functional relationships with product, merchandising, eComm, sales etc.

    Energy/Collaborations (30%)

    • Manage and execute an overall marketing strategy for energy and collaborations to drive brand heat and buzz, taking into consideration all key stakeholders, partners and product sell-through.
    • Develop, execute and refine a constantly evolving media strategy to speak to the target audience, leveraging PR, seeding, marketing collateral, global partners, influencers, and an always-on social media approach including a coordinated global launch calendar.
    • Collaborate with all elements of brand marketing team, sales, product, eComm, regional teams, etc.
    • Define and deliver on measurable KPIs with continuous feedback on performance and access to key data, tying upper funnel initiatives to business goals.

       

    • Perform duties consistent with the Company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.
    • Perform other duties as required/assigned by manager.

     

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

     

    • 5+ years’ experience; bachelor’s degree required.
    • Strong understanding and passion for lifestyle and sneaker culture is required.
    • Firm understanding of media landscape and the interplay between paid, owned and earned media.
    • PR agency and/or fashion/lifestyle brand experience preferred.
    • Global strategy with local activation mindset a must; International experience preferred.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills.
    • Strong organization and project management skills.
    • Individual must be able to work autonomously as well as be part of a team.
    • Travel up to 30%.

    Normal office environment.
