    The Associate Product Line Manager (APLM) will be responsible for helping grow the business through business planning, concept development and sales analysis. In addition, the APLM will play a key role in the tactical day-to-day operations of the team and liaison with sales and marketing to drive category expansion through cross-functional/cross divisional communications and functions.


    Primary Duties

    • Analyze bookings, shipment and selling throughout season
    • Maintain a thorough understanding of the fashion business, including historical volume, current plan, future plan, financial goals, and ability to objectively analyze successes and failures and opportunities. Share detailed analysis of sales data and sell thru with team.
    • Develop and maintain forecast, seasonal line plans and initiatives from concept through go-to-market
    • Perform line plan analysis to ensure well merchandised line including sku productivity, segmentation by distribution and gender, silhouette, pricing,  price point and gross margin
    • Work cross-functionally with marketing and sales leads to represent product team in key meetings
    • Conduct competitive marketplace analysis, focusing on brand’s direct competition and growth opportunities across segmented distribution
    • Work with product development on issues related to fit, commercialization, quality and sourcing
    • Work closely with design, development, R&D, sourcing, engineering/fit teams on execution of new to support strategic pricing and financial plans
    • Participate in key consumer/trade events
    • Manage all product line communications
    • Manage all proto, pre-line, and sales meeting samples
    • Manage inventories and style selection, in conjunction with the retail team
    • Report product weekly sales
    • Maximize best selling patterns
    • Compare sales by category year over year
    • Identify SMU needs with retail to curb outside buys
    • Provide seasonal post mortem
    • Work in conjunction with marketing to execute accurate buyers guide seasonally
    • Provide marketing with necessary information to execute task
    • Analyze size offering
    • Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.
    • Performs duties consistent with the company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

    • Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years’ experience. Experience in  fashion footwear preferred 
    • Strong work ethic and an interest in interactive work with various disciplines
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong organization skills and the ability to work on a variety of projects and shift gears midstream
    • Proficiency in Excel, Illustrator, Access, Word, and PowerPoint
    Office environment.  Moderate travel required.
