    The Quality Assurance (QA) role is responsible for supporting the Quality team in executing day-to-day activities and processes.  This role ensures product quality by inspecting incoming merchandise and reviewing packing accuracy.  The position will also play a key role in partnering with the Corporate Quality team to resolve issues as necessary.  In addition to inspections, the QA role will also be responsible for reporting and maintaining inspection results and testing outcomes.  This position will report directly the Product Integrity Manager.

    Primary Duties

    • Ensure Quality of Incoming Merchandise
      • Perform visual and tactile product inspection to identify quality issues
      • Test product to ensure compliance with construction standards
      • Utilize equipment and tools to test product
      • Must be able to see and interpret color variations from standards
    • Ensure Packing Accuracy of Outgoing Shipments
      • Inspect case labels and barcodes for accuracy
      • Inspect packed shoe cases
      • Compare lists with case content for accuracy
    • Report Inspection Results
      • Input data into tally sheet on inspection findings
      • Communicate with Corporate QA and Merchants via email
      • Complete forms summarizing testing outcomes
    • Serve as a Member of the Warehouse Team
      • Exhibit positive, team-oriented values in daily activity
      • Promote safe work place

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

    • High School Diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
    • 1+ year(s) experience in the footwear industry (retail, manufacturing, development, etc.) is preferred.
    • Proven communication skills are required, including written and verbal.
    • Position requires exceptional follow-through skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability and desire to learn and grow with the position’s responsibilities.
    • Ability to manage numerous projects and deadlines simultaneously.
    • Physically able to lift up-to 40lbs. (requirement for moving product cases)
    • Strong MS Office skill set with an emphasis in Word and Excel.
