    The PLM Technical Specialist is responsible for supporting the Brand and Operations product teams in day-to-day job functions within the Product Lifecycle Management system (PLM).  This PLM subject matter expert is a person who is able to understand and diagnose issues and provide technical support to all PLM users. This includes troubleshooting, identifying and elevating technical requirements, managing against timelines and product calendars, executing seasonal product ranges, ensuring dates and gates are met during product creation. 

    Primary Duties

    • Support all PLM users and developers in organizational and operational tasks related to the system.
    • Maintain the integrity of PLM 2.0 by establishing controls and developing and conducting audits, to ensure meeting buy-ready requirements are being met.
    • Is intimately knowledgeable about the product creation process as it relates to product marketing, design and development, thus qualifying this role to advise stakeholders on how PLM integrates and enables these product related functions.
      • Be a resource to all functions.
      • Lead cross-functional communication
      • Standardize the process and procedure for implementation of reports, etc. throughout.
    • Advise and support brands to update and maintain seasonal model and color level data.
    • Influences the development of PLM enhancement and leads new functionality testing for designated work teams.
    • Gathers business requirements from brands and provides resolution or assists in translating these requirements into system capabilities.
    • Manage all reports including buy-ready tracking, product creation reports, and PLM utilization reports.
    • Able to analyze and interpret data and use it to make decisions and provide direction.
    • Work on best practices documents and drive the processes that will enable the PLM users to be more efficient and effective.
    • Performing duties consistent with the Company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.
    • Performing other duties as required/assigned by manager.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Minimum 2 years experience with PLM or ERP Data management systems, preferably in the footwear or apparel industry
    • Knowledge and working experience with PLM toolkits
    • Previous experience with data base management and implementation
    • Able to demonstrate a collaborative and service minded approach to problem solving.
    • Clear, concise, professional and organized written and oral communication skills: will have constant interaction with the product teams.
    • Exceptional organizational skills and high level of attention to detail
    • Experience with Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel and Outlook are needed
    • Illustrator experience is a plus
    • Must be able to work in an extremely creative, fast paced and team environment, and possess excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written
