    The Product Line Manager for Wolverine Kids Group supports the Director of Product as the dedicated functional leader for the brand or group of brands.  This position is responsible for setting the global seasonal product strategy for the assigned brands to achieve revenue and margin goals. Position will work closely with senior leadership, design, development, merchandising, marketing and finance to execute from kick off through commercialization.

    Primary Duties

    • Achieve brand revenue and margin goals seasonally and annually
      • Focus on growth and profitability by classification, gender, distribution & delivery
      • Manage SKU count against profitability & productivity metrics
      • Attention to product lifecycles & transition plans    
      • Establish preliminary volume projections
      • Set pricing based on margin expectations and competitive insights
    • Represent the Kids Group as the liaison with the brand – ensure understanding of the brand’s seasonal and long term strategy and assess integration opportunities for kids
    • Responsible for understanding footwear market dynamics including the competitive environment, retail marketplace, and category trends
    • Lead the respective product team in brief development based on competitive and consumer insights:
      • Guide the brief through the creative process working with design and development to push innovation and ensure strong execution
      • Ensure product/program meets costing and pricing parameters consistent with financial goals and marketplace dynamics
      • Adhere to product creation calendars and deliver on time to accounts
    • Work with wholesale, DTC, and international partners to assess opportunities for growth across categories, segments, and channels and maximize sales for key programs
    • Create and deliver compelling product presentations to internal and external constituents with strong emphasis on communicating strategy and insights behind the programs developed
    • Represent brand(s) at key product milestone meetings (CAD review, initial sample review, final sample review, brand conference)
    • Performs duties consistent with the company's AAP/EEO goals and policies.
    • Perform other duties as required/assigned by manager.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
    • 5+ years of product footwear experience preferred. Candidates with apparel, accessories, product, buying or merchandising backgrounds will also be considered.
    • Must possess a strong work ethic with a history of building cross-functional relationships
    • Candidates must possess strong computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel preferred) and be highly motivated with strong creative, organizational and communication skills.
    • Travel up to 30% of time
