    As a Product Line Manager you will work with the product teams to establish the vision, strategies and seasonal concepts for the global business including footwear, apparel and accessories. The position will be responsible for leading the assortment planning with a comprehensive understanding of the target consumers and their needs, competitive landscape, trends and innovation.

    Primary Duties

    • Develop and brief a specific product range that delivers against the category objectives for sales, gross margin, style and SKU productivity, and brand image progression.
    • Work with the stakeholders to conduct category analysis based on historical sales information and gross profitability in order to develop an optimal line plan. Establish a pricing structure along with Sales and Development that will allow the lines to meet both revenue and profitability targets.
    • Create and present seasonal product briefs that inspire both Design and Development in the product process. Incorporate marketplace influences and consumer insights. Utilize deep understanding of target consumers and insights to their product needs. Seek input from Design, Development, Sales, and Dealers. Ensure that briefs are developed in accordance with brand, department and category strategies. These actionable design brief for each new story/season will be based on consumer insights, sales potential, market trends, competitor information and category positioning parameters.
    • Be the expert regarding insights to the target consumers and their needs for product solutions.
    • Co-lead (with Development) price negotiations with sourcing partners.
    • Deliver contributions needed to the product development process on time, and in full.
    • Present product ranges at key sales launches and key account meetings.
    • Establish relationships with key retailers and maintains ongoing communication to understand product performance relative to market and gain feedback on category direction and opportunities.
    • Responsible for understanding footwear, apparel and accessories market dynamics including; competitive environment, retail environment, market shifts, category dynamics (footwear, bags, baselayer, lifestyle apparel and more). Create and consistently update competitive analysis. Perform category analysis on a monthly basis in conjunction with merchandising and finance.
    • Serve as the champion of internal and external product-related communication.
    • Ensure proactive planning and contribution to all go-to-market and sell-in strategies.
    • Coordinates efforts with our international partners in support of a global product line.
    • Performs duties consistent with the company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.
    • Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

    • Bachelors Degree with 5+ years’ experience in the footwear, apparel, or accessories experience.
    • Excellent written and oral communication.

    • Extensive product knowledge and knowledge of global markets and competitors.

    • Basic industry knowledge including retail and wholesale aspects. 

    • Results orientation and timeline bound

    • Optimistic and Entrepreneurial.  Team player.

    • Well-organized with focused attention to detail.

    Normal office environment. Travel required.
