    The Sr. Sales Planning Analyst position will play a key role for the brand’s wholesale team by analyzing, interpreting and evaluating sales data to produce actionable steps to enhance sell-in and sell-through as well as to create reporting necessary to evaluate the division’s performance. This role will be responsible for sales operations and planning aspects of the wholesale business, including long range and seasonal account and category forecasting, retail selling analysis, sales deals and promotions, order pool management and daily/weekly reporting. The role will also interpret/analyze results to provide insight into key drivers for the leadership team. In addition to on-going reporting needs, this position will also support strategic corporate/group/brand initiatives as needed to meet business objectives.     

    Primary Duties

    • Develops long range account growth plans in conjunction with brand leadership and manager.
    • Consolidates, reviews and analyzes monthly forecasts provided by sales representatives. Effectively presents analysis to leadership and sales managers with recommendations.
    • Responsible for forecasting efforts for the brand during major product milestones. Analyzes carryover styles and recommends drops/adds to the product line at milestone meetings.
    • Summarizes weekly reporting on orders, shipments, and backlog with comparisons against key benchmarks and creates actionable items on salient trends and marketplace changes.
    • Measures and reports on brand performance at retail.
    • Responsible for developing seasonal selling plan with sales leadership and manager. Responsible for administration of program to confirm compliance.
    • Works with customer service team and sales representatives to ensure the order pool accurately reflect customer demand.
    • Responsible for forecasting process and ensures planning tool is accurate and includes total product line.
    • Reviews and analyzes closeout offers to ensure brand efficiently and effectively moves through excess inventory.
    • Analyzes historical sales and applies long range account plan to propose seasonal quotas and objectives for sales representatives to sales leadership.
    • Performs duties consistent with the Company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.
    • Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent.
    • 3+ years of work experience related to sales, operations or finance
    • Highly organized and self-motivated.
    • Must have excellent communication skills and must be detail oriented.
    • Ability to work well in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
    • Proven ability to work on multiple priorities while still achieving agreed upon deadlines.
    • Experience working with PC database applications, SAP reporting, SAP Business Warehouse, SAP Business Planning and Consolidation and sales projection models is required.
    • Strong Microsoft Office skill set with an emphasis on advanced Excel skills.

       

      WORKING CONDITIONS

      Normal office environment. Some domestic travel may be required.
