    Direct all aspects of line planning, merchandising, SKU management, and go-to-market strategies globally for Wolverine Apparel. Oversee all elements of seasonal product execution from strategic planning to execution at retail.

    Primary Duties

    • Oversee the construction of seasonal line plans and product briefs (2 times per year)
    • Direct the seasonal style editing process.
    • Partner with leadership to set target FOB’s and retail pricing, and establish margin targets for each seasonal line.
    • Drive in price negotiations to ensure that defined margin targets are achieved.
    • Presents line concepts, product, and strategic vision to management, retailers, sales associates and peers at a wide range of formal and informal meetings.
    • Present business unit seasonal strategic and tactical elements to brand sales teams.
    • Develop a global network of stakeholders, including brand executives, retailers, and sales people that are communicated with regularly to inform, educate and gather insights to help identify opportunities.
    • Manage Design and Development process to insure the timely, seamless, and consistent execution of seasonal line plans and the overall product creation process.
    • Collect a deep understanding of industry, competitor, and market knowledge that inform the business unit’s short and long-term strategies and goals.
    • Manage, coach, mentor, and retain design and development team.
    • Work with leadership to develop, communicate, and execute against the department’s short and long-term strategic plan and goals.
    • Performs duties consistent with the company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.
    • Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, design, or equivalent work experience.
    • Minimum of 8 years industry experience.
    • Strong understanding of industry competitor set, style, and trends.
    • Self driven and flexible in approach to business
    • Excellent presentation skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to think strategically and execute on long-term strategic plans.


    Moderate International and Domestic travel (Sourcing/Industry Shows/Retailer Meetings).
