    The Office Services Supervisor is responsible for efficient day-to-day operation of the Corporate Office Services’ mailing, shipping and receiving operations with emphasis on managing our service assistants and executing inbound and outbound mail and package distribution. This role manages the shipping and receiving operations of the Office Services team and is responsible for maintaining a positive and effective working environment and for campus mailing and other on-time deliveries.

    Primary Duties

    • Directly oversees the repair and maintenance of all Office Services mailing and shipping equipment
    • Facilitates coordination within the Office Services, to establish priorities and schedules the workload to satisfy production needs and maximize productivity & performance while maintaining high quality standards
    • Assigns and regularly audits mailing, shipping and receiving workloads to ensure correct prioritization
    • Maintains supply inventories by checking stock to determine inventory levels and places purchase requisitions\orders to assure adequate stock on hand
    • Maintains up to date inventory counts on all pre-printed stock
    • Responsible for managing a team of direct reports; providing them with day to day instruction and direction, and developing them to reach their maximum performance and potential.
    • Tracks supply costs and communicates chargeback information to Print Production Specialist for period end allocations
    • Maintains working relationships with suppliers, vendors and contractors as necessary
    • Ensures the highest levels of customer service
    • Partners with Office Services printing operations to provide binding, and packaging operations
    • Determines methods & procedures to complete assignments and provides solutions to problems
    • Performs other duties as required/assigned by Supervisor/Manager
    • Performs duties consistent with the Company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

    • High School Diploma or GED required; relevant secondary education preferred
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in mail, shipping, and or receiving operations. Previous people supervisory experience required.
    • Demonstrated ability to motivate, coach, train and develop employees for peak performance and career development
    • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment; and to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks under demanding deadlines
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, employees, vendors and customers
    • Knowledge of domestic and international USPS, FedEx, DHL and UPS regulations and standards; an understanding of international shipping and documentation is required
    • Proficient with computers and MS Office, especially Excel; mailing software such as Pitney Bowes ConnectRight Mailer or similar programs and working knowledge of small parcel shipping required.


    • Printing, shipping and mailing production environment.
    • Able to do continuous lifting up to 60 pounds and able to operate material handling equipment.
    • Infrequent travel may be required
