    The Demand Planner III will analyze, purchase, forecast and schedule inventory levels to meet customer demand and inventory goals.  Maintain and update reports and systems to reflect current information including all financial aspects of assigned brand(s).

    Primary Duties

    • Identify and purchase product based on history, trend, sales demand and customer need ensure purchase orders are entered accurately and maintained.
    • Work with Demand Planning Managers to develop annual business plan for the DC and volume direct businesses.
    • Provides stock availability and future receipts to accounts, customer service and sales force.
    • Utilize  inventory analysis to determine  pattern counts and recommendations, projecting sales and season ending stock levels, this year to last year comparisons and historical trend patterns.
    • Assemble all pricing and carryovers  to sourcing to update SAP/GLL
    • Assist Demand Planning Manager in research and gathering of data for preparation of financial business plans, factory capacity plans, production forecast plans and DC manpower plans.
    • Inventory Alignment and Allocation: Plans and arranges inventory allocation according to priorities. Guides Customer Service and DC Management. Works with sales management to solve daily issues and challenges. 
    • Managing Daily Order flow: Totally immersed in the daily brand workflow, the merchandise planner evaluates, communicates, and continually solves issues for maintaining business pace, and meeting customer expectations, and brand specific goals.
    • Prepare various sales, inventory and purchase order reports for management as necessary.
    • Performs duties consistent with the companies AAP/EEO goals and policies.
    • Executes other job related tasks as required/ assigned by supervising manager.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
    • 3-5 years of planning/merchandising experience.
    • Strong analytical/problem solving skills
    • Advanced computer proficiency
    • Good oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to multi task.

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    Normal office environment. Some travel required.
