    Wolverine Worldwide is looking for a Director of Finance, within the Global Operations Group, to support and partner with Sourcing, Customs, and Consolidation operations. The Director of Finance develops and reviews group budgeting, financial planning, controls, accounting and reporting policies and practices.  This role is also responsible for analyzing financial results and providing management with an understanding of the division’s financial performance and the financial effect of business plans and strategies. Partnering with key business stakeholders to help drive business results is a critical component of the role.  

    Primary Duties

    • Provides financial direction, guidance and strategy for the Division(s) or Group performance including business planning, capital planning, forecasting, pricing and operational reviews.
    • Responsible for the overall review and communication of the financial condition, operating results of each division and performance metrics on a period, quarterly and annual basis.
    • Directs the preparation of the annual budget, financial forecasting and other supporting analysis.
    • Provides variance reporting and analysis for revenue and expense against plan.
    • Approves pricing of the product lines and go-to-market support, selling programs, overall terms and conditions and major closeout deals.
    • Directs activities to ensure accounting controls and systems are in place to address accuracy, reliability, completeness and proper recording of financial data in accordance with GAAP and other corporate policies.
    • Works with Demand Planning on sales and operations planning to improve timely delivery of goods, understanding for factory capacity and delays, and knowledge of product and logistical costing trends.
    • Provides financial leadership on key finance and operation projects to support the achievement of organizational goals and strategies.
    • Performs duties consistent with the company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.
    • Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience.
    • 8+ year’s experience in finance or related field.
    • Ability to communicate with all levels of employees
    • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team of finance professions, to reach optimal performance and potential.
    • Good analytical and problem-solving skills to distill data driven insights
    • Strong verbal and written skills to communicate these insights
    • Previous GAAP experience preferred
    • Desire and tenacity to overcome obstacles and deliver results
    • Desire and ability to partner with key stakeholders to help drive business results
    • Ability to deliver results and meet deadlines



    Normal office environment.  Some travel required.
