    A Senior Credit Analyst will perform various credit related activities in support of international operations. Monitors and controls the credit extension, collection and payment activities of assigned higher risk and more complex international distributors and licensees to ensure customer orders are serviced in a timely and efficient manner while maximizing collections.  Performs more complex analysis of customer portfolio and conducts other activities designed to improve DSO and efficiency.

    Primary Duties

    • Works closely with Credit and International Group leadership in managing credit risk of assigned higher risk and more complex distributor and licensee accounts.
    • Determines appropriate credit limits for accounts by gathering data from distributor leadership and analyzing financial statements and other supporting information. Establishes appropriate credit limits that effectively take into account sales opportunity and credit risk.
    • Analyzes country, political, and company risk to determine likelihood of collection of existing accounts in changing economic or political environment and communicates findings to appropriate management.
    • Engages in individual and team projects and activities designed to improve reporting, efficiencies and overall quality of international portfolio. Gathers quantifying data and generates reports to assist in collections and identifying problem areas.
    • Reviews reports to make ship/hold decisions based on department procedures.
    • Communicates with accounts concerning past due invoices.
    • Assists credit analysts in an advisory capacity in more complex decisions.
    • Performs duties consistent with the company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.
    • Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or Finance, or equivalent work experience.
    • 5+ years experience in wholesale credit, finance or accounting, preferably in the footwear or apparel industry.
    • Proficiency with data analytics, SAP, Business Warehouse are preferable.
    • Proficiency with Outlook, Excel and Word are required.
    • Strong oral and written communication and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work with all levels of people.
    • Excellent analytical skills.
    • Good time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
